| DRESS CODE We promote a professional atmosphere for a dance education. Students improperly dressed will be requested to observe rather than actively participate in class. • No street shoes on dance floors. No dance shoes on the street. • Hair must be neatly arranged off the neck, away from the face, and securely pinned up for all levels! • Keep all jewelry to a minimum. • Absolutely no gum, food, or drinks (except water) in classrooms. • Please put your name on all of your belongings! We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. * BALLET & POINTE: Solid color leotard (Beg - Pink, Int - Blue, Adv - Black. ALL Styles are offered in our Shoppe!), pink tights, pink ballet shoes (split sole required for Beg Level and above). Hair must be in a bun. * LYRICAL / MODERN: Leotard, tights, and beige lyrical shoes. Hot shorts are optional. * TAP: Leotard or dance top, tights or dance pants or dance shorts, black tap shoes. No large shirts or street clothes allowed in class. * JAZZ: Leotard or dance top, tights or dance pants or dance shorts, black jazz shoes. No large shirts or street clothes allowed in class. * TUMBLING: Leotard or dance top, tights or dance pants or dance shorts, biketard, white tumbling shoes. Hair must be in ponytail or braids. * COMBINATION 1, 2: Any color leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and a bag. * COMBINATION 3: Any color leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and black jazz shoes for the year-end performance. * HIP HOP: Any loose dance clothes, hip-hop sneakers or new white tennis shoes. * BOYS: Black jazz pants or shorts, tucked in white t-shirt. |
| STUDENT RULES • Students are not permitted to be in the dance or tumbling rooms without teacher supervision. • Be sure to check lost and found regularly. • Be sure to put your name on all articles of clothing, shoes, etc. • Hair must be worn up and pulled back before coming to class. • Adhere to the dress code. Please see above for more details. • Make sure you use the restroom before coming to class (especially young ones). • NO TOYS or playthings in dance bags. • Only water is permitted in the classrooms. • Place all your belongings on the designated shelves or hang them on the pegs provided. . • Telephone is to be used for emergencies only. No cell phones, including reading text in class. • All children are to be supervised at all times including waiting rooms. • No playing on furniture or running in hallways or classrooms. • Do not put hands on the mirrors. • Do not hang on Ballet barres. • Please help keep the studio clean and make sure you clean up after yourself at all times. |

| OBSERVATION We offer parents and guardians the convenience of observing class through the classroom observation window. However, we encourage you to stand away from the viewing window since it tends to distract the students in class. The observation window may be closed at anytime. If at any point in time, you feel out of touch with the progress of your child, please schedule a convenient time to talk with your child’s instructor. We are very willing to discuss the direction in which your child’s instruction is headed. ABSENCES Students are encouraged not to be late or absent. Class attendance is always imperative for the students’ progress. • If your child will not be able to attend his or her scheduled class, please contact the studio office (746-8009) and leave a message or inform the class instructor in advance. • Missed classes must be made up within 30 days. The office can help you select the appropriate class for make-ups. • Excessive absence from weekly classes may require a student to be moved to a lower level class. • NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE GRANTED FOR MISSED LESSONS OR FOR LESSONS DROPPED DURING A CURRENT MONTH. REGISTRATION • Combination Classes 1 (3 & 4) and 2 (4 & 5) are Pre-Tap, Pre-Ballet, and Pre-Tumbling. • Combination Class 3 (5 year olds not quite ready to advance to straight beginning classes; however, must have at least 1 prior year of dance) are Pre-Tap, Pre-Ballet, and Pre-Jazz. • Beginning Hip Hop, Beginning Lyrical, Preschool Tumbling, Pre-Pointe classes will last 45 minutes. • All Jazz classes are 1 hour except Beginning Jazz class, which is 45 minutes. • Beginning Ballet is 1 hour. Beg Int Ballet is 1 hour 15 minutes. All other Ballet classes are 1.5 hours. • All Lyrical students must have had a minimum of 2 years of Ballet and must continue to take Ballet. • All Modern students must have had a minimum of 2 years of Lyrical and Ballet training and must continue to take Ballet. • Please note: Each class must have at least five (5) students enrolled, or it is subject to cancellation. • There will be no new enrollment after November 30, 2008! • Teachers are sole judges as to the classification of students. If you are unsure of the level a student should enroll, please ask a staff member for suggestions. |
